Jes

Jessica Leong

ASsociate Director

Jessica received a Masters of Architecture Degree from the National University of Singapore [NUS]. During her undergraduate years in school, she was also involved in a few overseas projects, like the Cheonggyechon Revitalisation ideas studio at Hanyang University, Ansan; with her works showcased at the Cheonggyechon Revitalisation Ideas public exhibition, in Seoul, South Korea, in 2004.

Upon graduation, she started work with Formwerkz Architects, where she was involved in mainly Residential Architectural & Interior design work. She then moved on to work on the design development for Tanjong Beach Club, in Sentosa, Singapore, with the boutique firm Takenouchi Webb, assisting with not only Architectural or Interior design work, but also furniture design, like the custom made lamp shades, tile pattern prints, hollow brick blocks; to relate back to the branding of the establishment.

In 2011, she entered into a collaborative partnership at the Monocot Studio, as an Interior designer, where she oversaw the design development for the recently opened Loama Resort and Spa, at Raa Atoll, Maldives. This opened up opportunities for her to be in contact with experienced artisans, craftsmen and makers from around the region, whom she worked alongside to develop the lighting, furniture and soft furnishing pieces for the villas and restaurants, as well.

Her work at these design studios, had allowed her to gain work experiences on projects that span the spectrum of Masterplanning, Architecture, Interior & furniture design. Currently, at SPARK Architects, she continues to work on similar commercial interior projects, like the Asset Enhancement work for POMO Mall, with the same passion to explore ideas to create bespoke and delightful spatial experiences.
