SPARK DIRECTORS READY TO SHARE THEIR EXPERTISE AT WAF AND INSIDE
The World Architecture Festival (WAF), co-located with INSIDE: World Festival of Interiors, returns to Singapore from 1–3 October 2014. Once again, Marina Bay Sands will become a hub for discussion and debate of the latest projects and issues. Three SPARK Directors have been invited to participate in the events, and share their first-hand experience and knowledge with a global audience.
SPARK Director Jan F. Clostermann is preparing to speak about ‘Designing for Stress’ for the INSIDE Seminar Programme on Wednesday 1 October (11:00–11:40). The two-speaker session will explore how graphics, signage and information systems can help to relieve stress in environments such as accident and emergency departments and airports.
SPARK Director Marco Goldschmied will also speak at WAF and lend his expertise as a judge in the ‘Future Residential’ category of the WAF Awards. He will speak at the Festival Hall Stage on Friday 3 October (15:20–16:00) in the WAF session titled ‘Question Time – Is the world of regulation out of control?’ The three-speaker session will investigate aspects of regulation including sustainable design, individual and collective city experience, links between private development and the public realm, and the possibility of spontaneity and public involvement in the urban environment.
All of us at SPARK will be anxiously awaiting the results of the WAF Awards, in which four SPARK projects have been shortlisted. See you at the festival!
