SPARK’s Taizhou Fish Market Enters Final Construction Phase

spark architect’s directors stephen pimbley and minwei alongside project partners at taizhou fish market site.

Recently, SPARK Architects’ Founding Director Stephen Pimbley visited Taizhou Fish Market in Taizhou to review construction progress on site, alongside project partners and the SPARK China team.

The visit focused on Plot B, which has now entered its final construction sprint. From the installation of the seafood market’s façade to interior public spaces, parking areas, and landscaping, the team walked through key areas to ensure the design intent is being carefully realised on the ground.

It’s rewarding to see the project taking shape in real detail as architecture, culture, and waterfront life come together, transforming Taizhou’s fishing heritage into a contemporary waterfront destination.

We’re looking forward to sharing more updates as this vibrant new landmark continues to unfold.
